Botulinum Toxin Type A(botox)
Botulinum toxin type A have two type 50ui and 100ui, it is an injectable neuro-toxin, that is, a toxin that blocks the ability of nerves to make muscles contract. It is produced by clostridium botulinum Bacterial.the toxin acts on the junctions between the nerves and muscles preventing the release of one of the chemical messengers called acetylcholine from the nerve ending which would mormally cause the muscle to contract.
Botulinum toxin type A is appproved by Food and Drug Adminstration used cosmetically for the improvement in the appearance of some facial wrinkles including smile lines,frontal lines,frown lines etc.
