How does it work? Jump Stilts are composed of aircraft grade aluminum, glassfibre, rubber, and steel bolt and bearing assemblies. You can jump six feet high, and run up to twenty miles per hour while wearing them. When standing, they make you about 14 inches taller, and they weigh about 8.25lbs each. 1. Jump Stilts rely on gravity, and spring constants to provide energy. 2. Using your body weight, you use latent energy in your body to apply potential energy to a leaf spring that is built into the jump stilts. 3. When you jump, your body mass is used to compress the spring.  Whatever energy you put into the spring, is the amount of energy that you get back, not including the gravity of the Earth. 4. Depending on how much you weigh, the spring class that you use reflects this.  If you weigh too little for your model, or too much, you will get inconsistent results.
