King Vessel

The absolutely high-class food container used in the royal or noble families in ancient China. The ellipse-shaped vessel consists of cover and body. At the two sides of the vessel, two square handles in bas-relief are attached. Modeling after the bas-relief technique of bronze ware, the cover and handles are engraved with dragons. The dragon´s head, eyes, mouth, horns and scale are entirely carved delicately & life-like. Elegant in shape, glossy in lacquering, compact in pattern, it holds a great artistic value.
